A Future in Paramedical Sciences
Many of the processes that support diagnosis, treatment and patient care depend on trained paramedical professionals with specialised technical skills. For students who want to enter healthcare through a focused area of practice, paramedical education offers a range of opportunities.
At Shantha College of Paramedical Sciences, our programmes are affiliated with the Para Medical Board, Bangalore, and recognised by the Paramedical Council of India (PMCI). Our courses are career-focused, combining academic learning with practical clinical training and exposure to healthcare environments.
Six Areas of Specialisation
Students can choose from six diploma programmes, each leading towards a different area of healthcare:- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)
- Diploma in Imaging / X-Ray Technology (DMIT)
- Diploma in Operation Theatre / Anesthesia Technology (DATOT)
- Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology (DOT)

Facilities Designed Around Practical Learning
We place particular emphasis on preparing students for clinical environments before their first hospital posting. Our infrastructure includes facilities such as an MLT laboratory, paramedical X-ray facilities and an ophthalmology facility, alongside classrooms and a pharmaceutical laboratory. Our aim is to give students hands-on exposure while they are still in Learning.. Our campus infrastructure is designed to replicate real-world clinical environments, allowing students to work with the types of settings and facilities relevant to their chosen field.Where the Qualification Can Take You
The specialisation chosen by a student directly shapes the professional setting they are prepared for. Graduates can be prepared for roles in:- Hospital laboratories
- Radiology departments
- Operation theatres and anaesthesia support system
- Ophthalmic clinical settings
- Nephrology department
- Public health departments
- Community healthcare
