2. RULES TO POLICY AMMENDMENT

Disclaimer: The regulations and procedures outlined in this Policy Book/HR Manual are subject to the existing Management Orders and may be amended with or without prior notice at the discretion of the Management. The Management reserves the right to make exceptions, modify rules, and implement additional requirements as deemed necessary.
Introduction: This Handbook will serve as a guide to the Terms and Conditions of Employment, benefits and other related matters pertaining to the service of a staff of Shantha Group of Institutions.

5. PROHIBITION OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT

Shantha Group of Institution’s policy against sexual harassment prohibits sexual advances/requests for sexual favors or other physical/verbal conduct of a sexual nature, when:
Submission to or rejection of such conduct is used as a basis for employment. Such conduct has the purpose/effect of unreasonably interfering with an employee’s performance or creating an intimidating, hostile, humiliating, or offensive working environment.
Some of the circumstances which would constitute sexual harassment (including but not limited to):

  • Unwelcome sexual advances whether they involve physical touching or not
  • Requests for sexual favors in exchange for actual or promised job benefits
  • Coerced sexual acts
