CHEMCON 2K25 RGUHS Sponsored National Conference on Emerging tools & techniques Bridging Chemistry & Al” SATURDAY 26th JULY”

In alignment with our enduring commitment to academic distinction and intellectual advancement, the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Shantha College of Pharmacy, Chikkaballapura proudly participated in CHEMCON 2025, a prestigious national conference sponsored by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and organized by the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, T. John College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru, under the compelling theme “Emerging Tools & Techniques: Bridging Chemistry & AI.” The conference brought together thought leaders and innovators, including Mr. Sumeet Siddhartha, who unveiled the transformative potential of AR/VR in pharmaceutical education and research; Dr. Shubendu Mukherjee, who articulated the accelerating impact of Machine Learning and Computer-Aided Drug Design on drug discovery; and Mr. Pradip Shankar Patil, who elucidated the integration of AI in automation of GLP-compliant Quality Control laboratories. Beyond technical enrichment, the event served as a catalyst for introspection—challenging us to reimagine the evolving interplay between human insight and machine intelligence in pharmaceutical sciences. We remain deeply grateful to our institution and the organizers for enabling this profound engagement, which has not only expanded our academic horizons but also reaffirmed our role as conscious contributors to the future of healthcare and innovation.

Industrial Visit

Phytosol Chemicals is a renowned pharmaceutical and phytochemical industry. The visit was organized as part of the students’ academic and industrial exposure program. Students learned about herbal drug extraction, processing, and quality control techniques. The industry tour offered insights into GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and regulatory standards. Experts at Phytosol guided students through various pharmaceutical equipment and processes. It was a valuable opportunity for students to relate theory to real-world practice.

Skill Development Workshop

Workshop on Hand Splinting – Occupational Therapy Students

Mysuru, July 12, 2025
Students from Occupational Therapy actively participated in an intensive Workshop on Hand Splinting (hands‑on practice) hosted by Heritage City College. The event focused on empowering future therapists with practical exposure to various splinting techniques essential for hand rehabilitation.

The inaugural ceremony was marked by invocation, lamp lighting, and insightful addresses by eminent dignitaries including Dr. U. T. Ifthikar Ali, Dr. Sridhar D., Mr. Dineshkumar T. (HOD), and A. B. Ibrahim (Retd. IAS), who emphasized the relevance of hands‑on clinical skill development in allied health sciences.

The workshop featured four technical sessions covering splint design, fabrication, and application for various upper limb conditions. Shantha BOT students immersed themselves in each session, applying theoretical concepts in a real‑time, clinical learning environment.

World Population Day

Community Outreach – World Population Day

Final‑year BSc Nursing students from Shantha College of Nursing commemorated World Population Day with a meaningful community outreach event at PHC Peresandra. Guided by the belief that “the power of population is indefinitely greater than the power in the Earth to produce subsistence for man,” the students took this opportunity to spread awareness about the growing concerns related to overpopulation.

Final-year BSc Nursing students from Shantha College of Nursing commemorated World Population Day with a meaningful community outreach event at PHC Peresandra. Guided by the belief that “the power of population is indefinitely greater than the power in the Earth to produce subsistence for man,” the students took this opportunity to spread awareness about the growing concerns related to overpopulation.

Community Health Nursing Initiative

As part of the initiative, students organized a roleplay and interactive educational sessions to emphasize the importance of health and environmental consciousness among the rural population. The event focused on fostering a better understanding of the impact of population growth on public health and natural resources.

This activity is a part of the students’ community health nursing training, with urban postings in Chikkaballapur and rural postings in Peresandra and Mandikal. Their practical exposure also includes clinical affiliations with reputed hospitals such as Jayadeva Hospital, Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, Spandana (Manasa), and Victoria Hospital (Vani Villas).

The program was well received by the local community, marking a successful blend of academic learning and public service.

GuruPurnima Celebration

On GuruPurnima, our institution came alive with a spirit of reverence and festivity as we celebrated the time-honored tradition of honoring teachers and mentors. The occasion took on special significance as it also marked the inauguration of our new Central Library. We had the immense honor of welcoming Managing Trustee Preethi Ma’am, whose esteemed presence added distinction to the event. With grace and warmth, she inaugurated the library, emphasizing the critical role of knowledge in personal and societal growth.

Fest Vibes Day – 3

The third day of Fest 2025 brought a lively combination of sports competitions and an exciting cooking contest. Students showcased not only their physical strength and team coordination but also their flair for culinary innovation. From energetic matches on the sports ground to creative dishes prepared with passion, every activity echoed the spirit of enthusiasm, discipline, and friendly competition. Cheers, teamwork, and sizzling flavors made Day 3 a dynamic and delightful addition to the fest experience.

Fest Vibes Day – 2

The Second day of Fest 2025 was packed with stunning stage events like Solo Singing, Duet and Group Songs, Saree Draping, Hairstyling, Beat Boxing, and the dazzling Fashion Show. Our students stole the spotlight with their extraordinary performances and confidence. From soulful songs to energetic dance moves and creative styling, every moment was met with applause and excitement. It was a beautiful ending to a memorable celebration, leaving everyone with smiles, pride, and lasting memories.
